How do I register for classes?

To register, send an email to ingrid@ingridhartcoaching.ca and include a link to your actor's access page/performer website or your actor pic & resume + your demo reel/footage of your work or fill in this form.

How do your ongoing classes run?

Every week, actors present audition pieces, two person scenes and monologues. Actors receive re-direction and scenes are re-worked to ensure that the actor is making strong choices and understands how to effectively use the 12 tools of the Chubbuck Technique. There are no meditation or warm up exercises for this class. Actors are expected to arrive ready to put up their scenes. A full cycle consists of 4 consecutive classes. Cost is CAN$226 tax included. Full payment is required to reserve your spot in class. Actors are welcome to 'drop in' and put up a scene at any time during the cycle. Cost for a single class is CAN$60.

You will be refunded for acting work only. You do not get credit for illness, death in the family, modelling, background work or any other kind of work except for acting jobs. These classes are based in support of the working actor.

What is the difference between group classes and private sessions?

Group classes provide an opportunity to learn through watching your fellow actors put up scenes and receive feedback. As well, group classes provide a meeting place for actors who have similar goals and challenges.

Private coaching allows for more specific and tailored training. One-on-one sessions allow for focused work with each actor to help build up your strengths and identifying areas for improvement. Cost is CAN$85 for 1 hour and CAN$120 for 2 hours. Full payment is required to confirm your booking.

How many actors are in a class?

There are up to 10 actors in a class. Small classes are for up to 4 actors. I teach beginner, advanced and master classes.

How many scenes are assigned?

Each actor typically works on 2-3 scenes per cycle.

Do you teach online?

Yes. Private online sessions are CAN$120 for 2 hours via Zoom. Refer back to the home page of this site for more information regarding online group classes. Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of payment.

You will be refunded for acting work only. You do not get credit for illness, death in the family, modelling, background work or any other kind of work except for acting jobs. These classes are based in support of the working actor.

Do you issue a certificate of completion at the end of your course?

No. Actor training is an ongoing practice therefore artists are encouraged to take classes whenever they feel the need to exercise and strengthen their acting skills. Attending classes keeps actors sharp and inspires creativity.
